How Fillsmith Exchange works
A free place for Ohio construction companies to post work, post open capacity, and find each other.
1. Join and get approved
Create an account for your company and say whether you need services, provide them, or both. Providers pick the services they offer and the counties they serve, and can upload a certificate of insurance. A Fillsmith admin reviews every company before it goes live.
2. Post a job or post capacity
Requesters post the work: service, county, dates, quantity and, if they like, a budget. Providers who offer that service in that county get one email. Providers can also post open capacity on the capacity board for requesters to browse.
3. Respond, talk, choose
Providers respond with their own rate and availability. Only the requester sees responses. Anyone approved can message anyone approved. The requester alone decides whom to select; nothing is assigned or awarded automatically.
4. Do the work, then close it out
The two companies agree terms and do the work directly. Afterwards, each side marks it completed or that it didn't go ahead.
Fillsmith is not a broker
- We never collect, hold or pay out money for the work. Companies pay each other directly.
- We never take a commission or a cut of any job.
- We never quote, set or adjust a rate. Each company sets its own.
- We never assign work or choose a provider. The requester chooses.
- We never take on a job ourselves, and we don't post or respond on the platform.
- We don't vouch for performance, quality, insurance or payment. Profile badges say only what was checked and when.
Any agreement is solely between the two companies. Fillsmith is a listing service and is not a party, broker, carrier or guarantor.
